Estimating Adult Size

How Much Will My Puppy Weigh Full Grown?

VERY IMPORTANT – PLEASE READ!!

WAIT till the puppy is AT LEAST 6 weeks old in order to get a more accurate adult size. If you do this on puppies UNDER 6 weeks old then your estimated adult weight prediction will NOT  be very accurate. Puppies under 6 weeks old are just too young to give a estimated adult weight you can trust from ANY type of method. It is so common for the smallest puppy to end up the biggest or even to catch up to the others. So do NOT be fooled by low birth weight OR low weight under 6 weeks old.  Also, this method is  NOT 100% accurate so it’s a good idea to ADD 1 – 2 pounds so you can have an IDEA or WEIGHT RANGE that the puppy is looking to fall into.

INSTRUCTIONS for the puppy weights method:
1. You Need to Know the Puppies Birthday (how old is it)
2. You Need to Know it’s Current Weight and the breed
3. Then click the photo below and select the breed, current age of the puppy and then type in the current weight of the puppy. Hit “Adult Size/Weight” button and it will tell you what the puppies estimated adult weight it.

Another Method:

Some breeders use the following math method

6 week weight x’s 4
8 week weight x’s  3
12 week weight x’s  2
