Welcome to Schnauzer Colors!

Just because a schnauzer is not the traditional salt & pepper, black & silver or black does Not make them "mutts."  It just means they are disqualified from being shown in the AKC conformation ring. You can still get your puppy registered with AKC as a Purebred Miniature Schnauzer.

Black & Silver Parti
AKC Registration Color Code for all "parti's"  ~ 023

There is alittle controversy regarding the description of this color. I agree with the breeders that describe this color as puppies that are bascially born with all the black & silver markings but instead of having the black & silver body, they have a "parti" pattern body.
See how this puppy below in the pictures has all the same "copper point" (on his eye brows, cheeks, inside his ears, under his tail) as a traditional black & silver puppy would have.

Liver Pepper (vs) Liver Tan & Solid Chocolates

We get so many families asking us what is the difference between a Liver Pepper Schnauzer and a Liver Tan OR Solid Chocolate Schnauzer. Many families are buying what they THINK are
"Solid Chocolates" OR "Liver Tans" when in reality - they are purchasing a "Liver Pepper" All of them have Green Eyes, Chocolate Nose, Chocolate Pads and are "chocolate" in color.
So what's the difference......? (Hint: the answer is NOT that one is darker then the other)
