What are Liver Pepper Schnauzers?
The AKC Registration color code for Liver Pepper is 498.
The Word ( Liver ) is just another word for chocolate. A Liver Pepper Schnauzer is bascially a "chocolate" version of the Salt & Pepper. Hence the name "Liver Pepper" instead of "Salt & Pepper." So to make it easier to understand ~ Salt & Pepper Schnauzers have banded hairs of GREY with black noses and black pads. The Liver Peppers Schnauzers have banded hairs of CHOCOLATE with green eyes, chocolate nose and chocolate pads. Just like Salt & Peppers, the Liver Peppers Vary Tremendously in Shade, so NOT all Liver Peppers end up the same "shade" as adults. Also ~ Don't let their darker newborn color fool you. ALL Liver Peppers go very light as adults. Their adult color has often been describe as shades like: champange, cream, beige, milk chocolate, a pretty stoney / pebble color, OR I have even heard of some going so light they almost look white.
Here are some Example Photo's of 2 Week Old Liver Pepper Puppies ~
